The exhibition features my hand-drawn animation The Pulse of the Forest as well as charcoal drawings that approach the forest through wandering and spatial experience.

In the animation, the forest is a space where one moves without a destination. The movement continues without a beginning or an end, leading neither away nor towards a destination. Movement has become a permanent state, stirring one to reflect on time, direction, and the meaning of the forest and wandering.

The works have been drawn with charcoal that I have made myself, using materials gathered in the forest surrounding my home.

When drawing, I use my subject as a way of exploring the possibilities of my material. My work is characterized by the tension between a free and deliberate approach to drawing, as well as observation-based interpretation. I aim to capture both the essence of the elements and their state in that particular moment.
