Galleria Huuto participates in the art fair for artis-run initiatives in Stockholm 23-26 April 2026.
At SUPERMARKET 2026, Galleria Huuto presents ‘Post Party Blues’, a group exhibition responding to the theme of The Great Gala by focusing on the emotional states that might follow after a party has ended. Traces of melancholia reminiscing a joyful time, relief after completing an event or longing for silence and tranquility that echoes after loud music and chatter might occur. Who was the party for? What happens next? Do we linger in the aftermath with friends or begin to make sense out of the chaos?
The works are realised through painting, printmaking, textile, moving image and live performance.
Artists in the working group are Anna Broms, Jane Hughes, Kaisa Huotari, Anne Siirtola, Azar Saiyar, Marja Viitahuhta and Anna-Leena Vilhunen.
SUPERMARKET – Stockholm Independent Art Fair is an international art fair for artist-run initiatives. Supermarket is dedicated to exhibiting artist-run spaces and other independent artists’ initiatives of all shapes and from around the world. The key aim is to display unique projects, create opportunities for new local and international networks and share the strengths of the independent art world with a large audience. The art fair exhibition is accompanied by the public Talks and Performance programme with invited performance artists and speakers from Sweden and abroad. Supermarket takes place annually in Stockholm, Sweden.
Supermarket has been arranged in Stockholm since 2007 by a small group of organisers most of whom are artists themselves. Supermarket is a development of Minimarket, which was held in Konstnärshuset (The Artists’ House) in February 2006 in reaction to the new commercial art fair Market. Over the years the project has rapidly evolved from exhibiting a modest group of local initiatives to a full-fledged international art exhibition that firmly established Stockholm on the art world map.
